INTIMACY AND EMBRACE



My paintings explore the profound feeling of being intimate with another person, not any person but someone who you chose to be very close to physically and mentally. I explore the feeling of how the rest of the world can be closed out for a time when you are immersed in another person. The experience is universal it can be felt by anyone from royalty in a palace to a person living in a ghetto. They can all feel this same sharing, love and unity. I am interested in exploring intimate space. What I have realised is that this space isn’t the space you are actually occupying, it is emotional and needs to be described visually abstracted. This space becomes more spiritual represented in terms of temperature, love, moods, mingling bodies and minds.
